About Jim & Leia
Our Story

Yes, we met on the Internet. But, would you expect any less? We met on a silly dating site called OkCupid!. After exchanging some e-mails, chatting on IM, and talking on the phone, we had our first date on January 28, 2006.
For our first date, we ate dinner at Leia’s favorite Mexican restaurant, Matt’s Rancho Martinez, and took in the sights of the city from the top of Reunion Tower.
One year later, we recreated our first date, and Jim asked Leia to marry him from the heights of Reunion Tower.

Jim’s Self-Summary from OkCupid!
i am selfish sometimes, passionate all of the time, caring most of the time (although i’m sure some would disagree), i love to create art and i design in a theatrical and concert environment. i am a teacher at the college level, and i want to help produce people who know what the hell they’re doing in the industry. i work my ass off, and i feel pretty good about myself and my position in life. but i work hard, and i try to play hard.

Leia’s Self-Summary from OkCupid!
I am a computer and entertainment geek who enjoys hanging out with friends and laughing. I’m pretty funny (I think) and like people who are witty.
The following has been said of me: This girl can do it all. She has a sly, witty sense of humor and balances out my crazy ways. Don’t even attempt to bring her down, she is unstoppable. Able to move mountains seemingly effortlessly, she is always a few jokes ahead of you. She is one super cool chick. She is dying her hair red and eating pizza. She is so interesting. She is really good at lacing corsets. She is the kind of gal who likes to get her socks rocked off … although strangely enough, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her wear socks. She smells great… not great as in “yummy garlic mashed potatoes” but great as in “fresh out of the shower.”
